"If you were waiting for a sign, this is it…
This public art project aims to employ typical methods of industrial road signage to signal its viewers in a most unexpected way. Industrial roadsigns, marquee letter boards, and neon will loan themselves to a different kind of direction. These conceptual signs foster the ethos of global consciousness with words of wisdom, connected statements, and enlightening mantras that promote positive thought and inspire an inner dialogue. The unassuming “passer-by” will be caught off guard with the proposition of an unexpected moment of reflection.
These subliminal artworks become beacons spanning the roadside and thus form a yellow brick road of reflective sculptures and enlightening reminders. All cities, all locations – no matter how unlikely, no matter how seemingly random – will briefly host beauty. All people – no matter how divergent their concerns, no matter how disconnected their lives are – will be able to experience it and ultimately, perhaps, find inspiration in it.”
